Sorrento's technology and therapy methodology was innovative, but amidst the inherent complexities of cancer treatment, they needed a clear way to differentiate themselves from competing therapies. Medicine can be rife with jargon and intimidating (but significant) details, so we needed to help them craft a story that highlighted their key features with simplicity.
User-friendly characters and illustrations helped reduce the complexity of Sorrento's proprietary therapy without sacrificing important information. This short animation helped the user quickly understand the key differences between two therapies, recognizing Sorrento's leadership. Sorrento's branding identity informed the color themes, which were styled in blues and reds to help the viewer differentiate "good" items from "bad". Professional voice-over and stock music rounded out the story for a professional finish.
Sorrento now has a visually memorable way for patients and therapists to learn about the superior features without overwhelming minutia.
The city of Wilsonville needed to increase awareness about its local ride-sharing program. They needed drivers to become aware of the program, how it could benefit them, and how they can get started. We love our cars and the freedom it brings, so Wilsonville needed to help drivers understand the benefits of ride-sharing.
The animation initially highlights the frustration with traffic, then quickly transitions to a cheeky view of how the program can capture lost drive-time. Wilsonville anticipated that viewers may have questions about costs, how the program works, and what happens if the car breaks down. This animation lent itself to a diverse pallet of subtle sound effects and upbeat music to hold the viewer's interest.
The successfully finished sequence now helps the City of Wilsonville easily explain its program in a friendly, uncomplicated way. Drivers see the benefits of helping the environment, easing traffic, and building community.
ACE Scholarships provide funding for low-income families to attend the school of their choice. And in Louisiana, these scholarship donations are almost 100% tax-decuctible. Tax-related information can sometimes be complicated and boring, so we needed to carefully communicate this opportunity in an engaging way.
To avoid confusion, it was important that we developed clean graphics and icons to illustrate how the tax benefit applied to the donor. It was equally important to communicate the impact these donations have on real students and their families, so we were careful to create vivid animation sequences that helped present the scope and impact of a donor's gift.
Ultimately, viewers learn that they can be vital to the education success of low-income families. With scholarship donations being almost fully tax-deductible, viewers can now understand their place in this win-win opportunity.
